We are a Birmingham accountancy practice helping small businesses, landlords, contractors and individuals across the West Midlands stay on top of their tax and finances, without the jargon, the surprises or the once-a-year silence.
Why we started the practice
We started Midlands Accountancy because too many business owners tell us the same story: an accountant who is hard to reach, fees that are never quite clear, and advice that only arrives when it is too late to act on it. We wanted to do the opposite: to be easy to talk to, upfront about cost, and proactive about the things that actually save you money and worry.
How we work
What working with us looks like
We keep things light so you are not buried in admin before you have even begun. Getting started usually follows a few simple steps:
- A quick chat. Tell us about your situation, how you are set up and what you need help with.
- A fixed-fee quote. We send a clear proposal covering the services and the price, usually within one working day.
- A smooth handover. With your authorisation we register as your agent with HMRC and, if you are switching, gather what we need from your previous accountant.
- Set-up. We get your software and records in order so everything is ready to run.
- Ongoing support. Accounts, tax and deadlines are looked after, and we are on hand throughout the year for the questions that come up.
Much of the work can be handled through cloud accounting software, so distance is rarely a barrier. If you would prefer to meet and talk things through in person, that can be arranged too.
